As part of its ongoing CSR initiatives, GO Communications aided Hospis Malaysia with PR and on-ground support for the launch of the “Speak Up – There’s an Elephant in the Room” campaign. Officiated by Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Women, Community and Family Department, YB Hannah Yeoh, the campaign sought to encourage dialogue amongst families with loved ones who are seriously ill or requiring palliative care.

For the campaign, 10 life-sized baby elephant sculptures were conceptualised and created by Malaysia’s foremost native artist, Yusof Gajah to highlight the issue. To raise funds for the campaign, each elephant sculpture was put up for “adoption” to companies and NGOs.
