Australian furniture designer and manufacturer King Living has appointed GO Communications to handle PR and communications tasks in relation with the official opening of its first standalone flagship showroom in the country. This comes as the brand intends to expand its footprint in Asia, with Malaysia being an important market towards this objective.

As part of its celebration sale in conjunction with its opening, King Living is offering shoppers up to 50% off its products at its showroom in Bangsar. King Living currently has showrooms in Singapore, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Shanghai and has a history that spans more than 40 years. Its furniture fuses style, flexibility, durability and long lasting personal comfort. Known as the “Masters of Modularity”, King Living is recognised for its sofas and its design philosophy is centred on longevity.

In a statement to A+M, King Living's spokesperson said King Living targets a broader cross-section of the mid to upper premium market. The media launch campaign includes a strategic multi-pronged communications approach in powering the brand through both traditional and digital (inclusive of influencer) marketing strategies.

David King, founder of King Living said Malaysia is a "crucial entry point" for the brand following its establishment in Shanghai and Singapore.

"Over the past two years, we have received overwhelming response from Malaysian consumers at IPC, Mutiara Damansara, who truly appreciate the immaculate design and functionality of our furniture, which has led to the opening of our first flagship showroom in the country located in Bangsar,” he said.

King added that GO Communications will certainly play an instrumental role in achieving its goals and objectives here, based on the agency's excellent track record of championing brands, as well as its PR and communications campaigns and initiatives.

Peter de Kretser, CEO of GO Communications, said it is truly excited to embark on this journey with King Living, who is a pioneer in Australian furniture design. "We certainly look forward to doing great things with them, to cement their presence here in Malaysia and introduce this incredible brand to all discerning Malaysian residents,” he added.
